PAOMIA is our 4th boat and we now feel that we have found our forever boat. The Amel Super Maramu is a 16 meter (53 foot) ketch, blue water sailing yacht, designed specifically for crossing oceans. The Amel Super Maramu is one of the most well respected blue water cruisers ever built. The Ketch rig layout makes for an easy handled sail plan. Henri Amel designed the Super Maramu specifically for a couple to sail around the world in comfort and safety. PAOMIA has a great layout below deck for a live-aboard with 8 births with 2 double cabins, both en-suite. Although PAOMIA can sleep up to 10 people she is at her best with 4 people onboard. She is equipped with a 24v / 220v electric system, generator, shaft driven alternator, water maker, fridge, 2nd fridge/freezer, dishwasher (removed to make space for ice maker / beer cooler), washing machine, microwave, GPS plotter, radar, AIS, electric winches and huge amounts of stowage. Above all the Amel Super Maramu is built strong and sails at good speed comfortably, easily covering 180 to 200 nautical miles per day on passage.
